Cancelling a reservation at the customers’ request

A customer is every person that has booked accommodation or any other service that we offer through our website www.dujemarinegroup.com.

“Uslužni obrt Duje” is the provider of accommodation services and lessor.

Cancelling a reservation for accommodation

If the customer cancels a reservation for accommodation or cancels a reservation while using accommodation, the cancellation must be done in written form or by e-mail at info@dujemarinegroup.com. The date of written cancellation shall be the basis for the calculation of cancellation costs, which shall be collected by “Uslužni obrt Duje” in accordance with the following table:

  • for cancellations up to 30 days prior to use, the service provider shall collect 20% of the total price of accommodation
  • for cancellations 29 to 22 days prior to use, the service provider shall collect 25% of the total price of accommodation
  • for cancellations 21 to 15 days prior to use, the service provider shall collect 40% of the total price of accommodation
  • for cancellations 14 to 8 days prior to use, the service provider shall collect 80% of the total price of accommodation
  • for cancellations 7 to 0 days prior to use, or in case of no-show, or for cancellations during use of accommodation initiated by the customer, the service provider shall collect 100% of the total price of accommodation

In case of a cancellation the costs of acquiring a visa or any travel documents shall not be returned.

Cancelling a reservation for a recreational craft

If the customer wants to cancel a booked recreational craft for any reason, the customer may find a new customer for the same reservation who is ready to take over all of the rights and obligations with the same scope and under the same conditions from the original customer, with prior approval of the lessor.

If the customer fails to find a new customer, the lessor shall collect cancellation costs in accordance with the following:

  • 20% of the rental amount in case of a cancellation 30 to 8 days before the beginning of the rental period
  • 50% of the rental amount in case of a cancellation 7 to 3 days before the beginning of the rental period
  • 100% of the rental amount in case of a cancellation 2 to 0 days before the beginning of the rental period

In case that a customer unjustifiably cancels the rental after having picked up the recreational craft, the lessor has the right to collect 100% of the total rental amount and to charge all expenses (including lost profit) which may arise due to the cancellation.

In case of a cancellation due to force majeure, or due to serious personal reasons (death of a customer or a member of their family, serious health issues, serious accident, etc.) which the customer must corroborate with appropriate official documentation, the parties shall agree that the amount that was already paid shall not be returned, and that the lessor shall provide the customer with the same recreational craft or with another recreational craft of similar characteristics on the first available occasion or in the next season. Only if the parties come to mutual agreement that the customer shall not be able to use the rented recreational craft in the future, the lessor shall return the paid amount to the customer, or in the case of death to the customer’s legal heirs after having been submitted the official decision on inheritance.

Cancelling a reservation for a daily tour

If the customer cancels or discontinues a tour, the customer must do so in written form or by e-mail at info@dujemarinegroup.com. The date of written cancellation shall be the basis for the calculation of cancellation costs, which shall be collected by the organizer of the excursion in accordance with the following table:

  • for cancellations up to 30 days before the excursion, the service provider shall collect 10% of the price of the daily tour
  • for cancellations 29 to 22 days before the excursion, the service provider shall collect 20% of the price of the daily tour
  • for cancellations 21 to 15 days before the excursion, the service provider shall collect 40% of the price of the daily tour
  • for cancellations 14 to 8 days before the excursion, the service provider shall collect 80% of the price of the daily tour
  • for cancellations 7 to 0 days before the excursion, or in case of a no-show, or
  • for a discontinuance of the excursion initiated by the customer, the service provider shall collect 100% of the price of the daily tour

The right of “Uslužni obrt Duje Marine” to change and/or cancel a reservation

“Uslužni obrt Duje” holds the right to change and cancel a reservation in case of force majeure or in case of extraordinary circumstances that could not have been foreseen or avoided. Depending on the reasons behind the changes or cancellation of the reservation, we will fist try to find an alternative service or accommodation of the same or of a higher category at the same price you paid for your reservation. In case that there is no available alternative, we hold the right to cancel the reservation with prior notice and we shall refund the paid amount in full. In case that a cancellation of a reservation is initiated by us, customers are not entitled to claim any damages. The refund shall be made immediately upon the establishment of the exact amount that needs to be returned to the customer, and within a maximum of 15 days from the acceptance of the cancellation. The refund shall be made only to the customer’s bank account, and the corresponding transaction costs (bank expenses) shall be covered by the customer.
