Split Boat Tours: Blue Cave & 6 Islands Excursion

You plan to spend at least few days in SplitWe suggest you read this and following articles and find out the best and most popular Split boat tours.

Taking geographical factor into consideration, the best option for discovering Dalmatia’s archipelago is to book one of many boat excursions. You have the option to book private boat tour or to buy a ticket for group boat excursion. The difference is significant – so pay attention.

Group Boat Tour Vs. Private Boat Tour

Group tour enables you to see a lot, for what may seem low price, it is less flexible. Skipper is obliged to follow the itinerary so all group members are happy. On the other side private boat tour, as said before, offers much more flexibility. You, your friends or family are alone in the boat (with skipper, of course) and you may choose to spend more or less time on places of interest. The only thing that restricts skippers flexibility is his responsibility for keeping everyone safe. This means he follows weather and sea conditions and he is the first and last to decide if he can respect your wishes during the tour.

If you have any doubts regarding the above mentioned difference, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time and ask for advice, tip or suggestion. We are here to assist.

Now, clearing this topic, it is time to move forward. In this article, we bring you a description of most popular and most booked boat excursion from Split:

#1. Blue Cave, Green Cave, Hvar island & Pakleni islands boat excursion

The most popular among many boat excursions on the market is usually known just as “Blue Cave tour“. It is probably most popular because it includes the visit to 6 islands in middle Dalmatian archipelago.

Usually, the excursion starts in 08:00AM with pleasant cruise between Brač and Šolta islands, through “Split Gate” passage. Beside the sea is calm in the morning and splendid nature surrounds you, you are very welcome to take photos and videos and share it in real time as all of our boats are equipped with free WiFI. So if you want to share your experience in real time – you are very welcome.

After passing Vis island you will arrive on Biševo island, near the entrance to Blue Cave. Sightseeing and actual entrance to Blue Cave is done by Blue Cave boat, the only one allowed to actually get inside the cave.

Boat Excursions: Traditional Blue Cave sightseeing boat

After sightseeing, we are leaving this nature’s phenomenon and are heading for cruise along the eastern side of Vis island with stoops for Green Cave, Stiniva Beach and Budikovac island. We planned one stop for Budikovac island as a place for you to chilli in local beach bar or swimming.

Pakleni Islands…

After Budikovac, we are heading towards Hvar island and spectacular set of islands across Hvar town – Pakleni islands. The common mistake people do is related to correct name of the islands – it is NOT Pakleni but Paklinski islands. Paklina is resin of specific tree type on these islands that was used to make wooden boats watertight as it is water resilient. Pakleni islands is a place where you can find some of the nicest bays, coves and also amazing restaurants. It is up to you to decide whether you will have lunch there or perhaps, use that time for exploring the islands.

Hvar…

After Pakleni islands, our next destination is Hvar town. Don’t worry, it is only few miles away from Paklni islands and it takes just few minutes to reach it. Hvar, for the end, is not just a sightseeing destination. As said before, our skipper will suggest where to eat, drink or what to visit. And if you are keen for after beach parties – head straight to Carpe Diem bar or Hula-Hula beach bar.
